Conducting Workshop with Maestro Donald Schleicher
June 7-10, 2018

New York Conducting Institute (NYCI) is proud to present a four-day conducting workshop with Maestro Donald Schleicher, June 7-10, 2018. Up to 12 conductors will be selected as full participants, and up to six auditors will be invited as observers. Full-participants will receive at least 75 minutes of podium time over the course of the four days, with a fully professional sextet (string quintet and piano). All podium sessions will be digitally audio-video recorded. A brief review and discussion with individual conducting participants will be offered by Maestro Schleicher, right after each podium session.

We are currently accepting full-participants and auditors.
In order to complete the application form, the following are required:

- Video Clips of your own conducting. (for full-participant applications only; past participants will not be required to submit videos)
- List links to online video clips including title of the piece, length of the excerpt, ensemble name, and any additional information needed in order to access (at least 10 minutes, but not more than 30 minutes in total)
- Résumé: We accept the following formats: pdf, doc, docx, txt, rtf, html.
- Application fee $35 until March 1st, 2018. After this date, $50. (non-refundable, must pay online via your application form in order to complete your application)

Applications are being accepted now and will be reviewed starting on March 1st, 2018. Applications received after March 1st will be reviewed and processed on a space-available basis. If the class is full, applications will be considered for Auditor status only.
If accepted as an Auditor, he or she may be added to the waiting list for Full Participant status, with the discretion of Maestro Schleicher and NYCI. If a Full-Participant must later cancel, tuition will be refunded (minus non-refundable fees) only if a suitable replacement is found.
